I'VE BEEN TO THE MOUNTAINTOP!
Congratulations to my son, our Thelonious.
Highest grade, A / Lowest grade, A- 🙀
Wins the Charles Garside Cup which is awarded annually to "that senior in the college who has most highly distinguished him/herself in the field of history." 🤯
I was written about in part of his essay to get into Yale 😊, he mentioned to me at the start of his senior year that a documentary I showed him during that summer, about #bayardrustin, was what inspired his Senior essay - which won him the cup. 🥰
Parents, especially co-parents - I wish on you what that means to me.
1st day on the job for Thelonious is June 1st. Future civil rights, or labor or legal aide lawyer...or, all of them at different stages in his career. He'll go where he's most useful.
He is a tributary and all of his tribes streamed together and became the village who raised him.
Always improbable, never impossible. Set forth with everything that you are and with what you have felt the most Thelonious, love.
Dad
